Dantooine is a pastoral planet populated by resilient farmers. For much their history, Dantooine's inhabitants focused primarily on sustenace, carting what little excess they produced to the planet's mercantile centers on the rare occasion off-world traders arrived.
Staple crops include kibla greens and yot beans, though the Republic has been pushing for the cultivation of faster-cycle non-native species to support increasing supply needs.
