Prehistory (Before the Old Republic)

Early Prehistory (Eons BBY)
The Universe begins forming.
The galaxy is formed around a super-massive black hole at its center.
The microscopic symbiotic organisms that allows living beings to use the energy field known as the Force and connects the Living Force to the Cosmic Force known as Midi-chlorians are birthed by the Wellspring of Life.
Father is born.
Daughter is born.
Son is born.
The Reptilian Elders begin appearing on the planet Naboo.
A precursor species on the planet Crul evolves over millions of years into the Crolute species.
A precursor species on the planet Abednedo evolves over millions of years into the Abednedo species.
Batuu, a planet on the edge of the Outer Rim Territories, was colonized.
The ice moon of Mesula was shattered.

Millennia before the Battle of Yavin
One or more ancestral species unlock the secrets of hyperspace travel and open the galaxy for exploration.
The Prime Jedi is born.
Force-sensitives gather to form the Jedi Order on Ahch-To, dedicated to the preservation of peace and justice.[10] The world Ilum is discovered as a source of kyber crystals.
The First Jedi Temple is constructed on the rocky islands of Ahch-To. Soon after, the Jedi village is also constructed on the Temple island.

The Old Republic Era

Millennia BBY (continued)
The Old Republic is formed.
The Temple of the Kyber is constructed on the cold, desert moon of Jedha.
Hylemane Lightbringer is born.
Hylemane Lightbringer is bludgeoned to death by a chair, disproving the myth that "he could not be killed by mortal weapons".
An Unidentified rogue Jedi is born.
A group of malevolent Force users splits from the Jedi Order during the Hundred-Year Darkness, led by this rogue Jedi. They form the Sith Order.
Lord Momin is trained by Lady Shaa as a Sith. In time, Momin kills his master and travels the galaxy honing his craft. Eventually, he and his acolytes are slain by a pair of Jedi during his destruction of a city through the use of a superweapon, although Momin's spirit survives through his mask. His story is deemed heretical by the Sith and was suppressed.
The Sith war is waged between the Old Republic and the newly formed Sith.
The Era of the Sith begins and lasts for thousands of years.
The Ordu Aspectu is formed.[18]
The Doom of the Ordu Aspectu occurs.

Prior to c. 6021 BBY
The Sith Empire is founded.

c. 6021 BBY
Through the use of slavery, the Sith build an empire that spans the galaxy, beginning a brief period of galactic dominance.
The Sith build a shrine on Coruscant.

6000 BBY
Civilization on Bardotta began when the Frangawl Cult reigned over a militant society.

c. 5000 BBY
The Great Temple is built by the Massassi on Yavin 4.
The Battle of Coruscant occurs as part of the Sith war.

Post Sith war
The Zygerrian Slave Empire is defeated by the Jedi.
The Jedi attack the Sith temple on Malachor in the Great Scourge of Malachor, and battle the Sith. All participants are petrified.[24]

Fall of the Old Republic

Between 5000 and 3966 BBY
The Mandalorian-Jedi War occurs.
The Mandalorian crusades occur as part of the Mandalorian-Jedi War.
The Devastation of Ubduria occurs as part of the Mandalorian crusades.
The Mandalorian cataclysm occurs as part of the Mandalorian-Jedi War.


c. 4000 BBY
The Four Masters construct the Jedi Temple atop the ruins of the Sith shrine on Coruscant.

3966 BBY
Galactic travelers navigate hyperspace using hyperspace sextants.

3277 BBY
The Lothal Calendar is introduced.

c. 2000 BBY
The Dagoyan Order took hold of Bardotta after a series of successful and strategic small-scale wars.

Prior to 1032 BBY
A battle is fought on Takodana between the Jedi and the Sith (at least 1,000 years).
The galaxy enters the Dark age.
Tarre Vizsla created the Darksaber.
The Jedi–Sith war is waged.
Coruscant and the Jedi Temple are occupied during the Battle of Coruscant.
Coruscant and the Jedi Temple are reclaimed during the Liberation of Coruscant.

1032 BBY
The Sith are defeated by the Jedi and are driven into hiding.
The Old Republic collapses.
Mandalorians of House Vizsla sneak into the Jedi Temple and liberate the Darksaber.
Darth Bane establishes the Rule of Two.
