The Hunt for Senya

The Hunt for Senya: Empress Vaylin's Obsession and the Tragedy on Ord Mantell

General Lore:
Following her ascension to the Eternal Throne, Empress Vaylin of Zakuul issued a brutal edict: a galactic bounty on her mother, Senya Tirall, who had fled with the grievously wounded Arcann—former prince and co-emperor of the Eternal Empire. Driven by a turbulent blend of vengeance and obsession, Vaylin unleashed the Eternal Fleet and intelligence networks to scour the galaxy. Rumors flooded in: sightings, whispers, and lies—all feeding the Empress’s paranoia.

Desperate to heal her son, Senya sought help from a faction of rogue Knights of Zakuul—warriors who had rejected Vaylin’s rule. But when she reached their hidden enclave on Ord Mantell, she found nothing but silence and blood. The knights had been slain—cut down by Vaylin herself, who lay in wait for her mother. A vicious duel followed, steeped in rage, sorrow, and shattered bonds. Senya narrowly escaped with her life, but the massacre left deep scars—physical and emotional—on all sides.

Since the massacre, new rumors continue to surface, but Senya and Arcann have vanished into the shadows. Their fate remains uncertain, their legacy entwined with the rise and fall of an empire born of power—and fractured by family.

Lorekeeper’s Reflection:
In the shadowed chapters of the Eternal Empire’s decline, there lies a tale not only of war, but of family torn apart by power. The Empress Vaylin, gripped by wrath and the dark legacies of her lineage, turned the galaxy itself into a net to ensnare her own mother—Senya Tirall, once a Knight of Zakuul and a protector of peace. Senya’s choice to protect her wounded son, Arcann, speaks not only of maternal courage, but of a belief in redemption beyond the cruelty of the Throne.

The tragedy that unfolded on Ord Mantell is one the Jedi remember with reverence and sorrow. The rogue Knights who had defied tyranny were annihilated not for rebellion, but for hope. Yet Senya survived, and through her survival, the Force reminds us that even amidst betrayal and destruction, the bond of compassion may prevail.

Let the tale of Senya and Arcann remain a meditation: on family, on forgiveness, and on the terrible cost of unchecked power.

As one of her first acts as Empress of Zakuul, Vaylin declared a bounty on her own mother, who had fled into the far reaches of the galaxy with a badly injured Arcann. A deluge of rumors and unverified reports flooded in from those eager to claim the reward. Obsessed, Vaylin pursued each one, calling on the full resources of the Eternal Empire to track down her quarry.

Hunted and desperate to find someone who could heal Arcann, Senya turned to a group of rogue Knights of Zakuul who had broken away from the Eternal Throne. But on arriving at their secret camp on Ord Mantell, she found the knights brutally slaughtered and her bloodthirsty daughter waiting for her.

Despite Vaylin's trap, Senya escaped Ord Mantell with her life... though the same could not be said of her former comrades-in-arms. Since the Ord Mantell massacre, more rumors of Senya and Arcann's location have surfaced, but none have proved substantial.
