Uphrades is one of the Republic's primary agriworlds: A lush planet with a temperete atmosphere and especially rich soil due to significant volcanic activity over twenty millennia ago. Nearly half of the Republic capital's food supply is grown and harvested on Uphrades, earning it the nickname "Carouscant' Granary."
